Use Outlook with Highrise

Outlook and Highrise are a great way to manage your contacts, email, and calendar.

Bring your email contacts into Highrise, manage the entire relationship with emails, even connect tasks across both your Highrise and Outlook accounts.

Import contacts from Outlook

First step when getting started with Highrise is to import contacts in your account. If you have been using Outlook as your main email tool, chances are you have quite a few contacts stored there.

First, export your contacts out of Outlook, check out this handy guide. From there, we have put together step-by-step help on getting them into Highrise.

Setting up the Outlook integration

Connect your Outlook account to send emails directly out of Highrise. Check out our guide on connecting your Outlook account.

Please note: Aliases in Outlook are not supported at this time.

Once connected, when viewing a contact, you can email them directly from Highrise.

Set up autoforwarding with Outlook 365 or Exchange

Highrise can operate as your entire email inbox, not only can you send email from Highrise, you can receive incoming email too.

This brings all of your email into Highrise. If you would rather only certain incoming emails be connected with contacts in Highrise, you can manually forward those emails to your dropbox address instead.

If you're using Outlook 365 or Exchange, autoforward emails using the +fw rule with your dropbox address.

Connect Highrise tasks to Outlook Calendar

Tasks that have a specific date and time associated with them can be automatically connected and displayed on your Outlook calendar.

From the main tasks page in Highrise, click on Subscribe to your task feed. Copy the webcal link you see there, and go to Outlook.
